Libraries.Data.Formats.ElementImplementation Documentation
The ElementImplementation class is used to represent a parsed XML element. In XML, an element is everything from the element's start tag to the element's end tag. Elements can contain text, attributes, and other elements.
Example Code
use Libraries.Data.Formats
ElementImplementation bookElement
bookElement:SetName("book")
bookElement:SetValue("Lord of the Flies")
Attribute authorAttribute
author
Inherits from: Libraries.Language.Object, Libraries.Data.Formats.Element

Actions Documentation
Add(Libraries.Data.Formats.Attribute attribute)
This action adds the given attribute to the array of attributes.
Example Code
use Libraries.Data.Formats
ElementImplementation bookElement
Attribute authorAttribute
author
Parameters
- Libraries.Data.Formats.Attribute: The attribute to add to the attribute list.
Compare(Libraries.Language.Object object)
This action compares two object hash codes and returns an integer. The result is larger if this hash code is larger than the object passed as a parameter, smaller, or equal. In this case, -1 means smaller, 0 means equal, and 1 means larger. This action was changed in Quorum 7 to return an integer, instead of a CompareResult object, because the previous implementation was causing efficiency issues.
Example Code
Object o
Object t
integer result = o:Compare(t) //1 (larger), 0 (equal), or -1 (smaller)
Parameters
- Libraries.Language.Object: The object to compare to.
Return
integer: The Compare result, Smaller, Equal, or Larger.
Equals(Libraries.Language.Object object)
This action determines if two objects are equal based on their hash code values.
Example Code
use Libraries.Language.Object
use Libraries.Language.Types.Text
Object o
Text t
boolean result = o:Equals(t)
Parameters
- Libraries.Language.Object: The to be compared.
Return
boolean: True if the hash codes are equal and false if they are not equal.
GetAttributes()
This action gets the attributes of the element.
Example Code
use Libraries.Data.Formats
Element bookElement
AttributesImplementation value = bookElement:GetAttributes()
Return
Libraries.Data.Formats.AttributesImplementation: The AttributesImplementation for the element.
GetHashCode()
This action gets the hash code for an object.
Example Code
Object o
integer hash = o:GetHashCode()
Return
integer: The integer hash code of the object.
GetName()
This action gets the name of the element.
Example Code
use Libraries.Data.Formats
Element bookElement
text value = bookElement:GetName()
Return
text: The name of the element.
GetValue()
This action gets the value of the element.
Example Code
use Libraries.Data.Formats
Element bookElement
text value = bookElement:GetValue()
Return
text: The value of the element.
SetName(text name)
This action sets the name of the element to the given value.
Example Code
use Libraries.Data.Formats
ElementImplementation bookElement
bookElement:SetName("book")
Parameters
- text name: The value to set the name of the element to.
SetValue(text value)
This action sets the value of the element to the given value.
Example Code
use Libraries.Data.Formats
ElementImplementation bookElement
bookElement:SetValue("Lord of the Flies")
Parameters
- text value: The value to set the value of the element to.
